Keystone is located in Summit County just about 70 miles away from Denver International Airport in Colorado. This is a wonderful little alpine village that has a wide variety of activities in the summer and the winter. In the summer the skiing mountains are perfect for hiking and mountain biking. There are also horseback riding trips available. The streams near Keystone are mostly fed via reservoirs and thus have some great fishing available. Beautiful brown and rainbow trout can be caught in these streams with a little guided help from local fly fishers. There is even a championship golf course nearby. In the winter, Keystone turns into a skier’s and snowboarder’s paradise offering everything from downhill skiing to tubing. Sleigh rides are available on the now snow covered golf courses and the quaint little mountain stores are open for business. There is really a lot to do in this little town and it is so close to other mountains such as Copper Mountain, Breckenridge and Arapahoe that it would be a wonderful vacation for anyone who likes to ski.
